Rake For Buffing Wheel
$30.75Quick ViewA buffing wheel rake is used to clean up the edge of an Airway Buffing Wheel while it’s running on a pedestal machine or a right angle machine.The buffing wheel should be spinning at it’s normal speed and the rake should be held securely when presented to buffs on any stationary bench grinder or portable tool. Always exercise caution when raking. We recommend using your feet to hold the rake to the ground and taking the machine and buff to the rake, to remove compound and soften the edges
When too much Metal Polishing Compound is applied to the buffing wheel, it can harden and burn onto the edge of the buff. This reduces the efficiency of the buffing wheel and the finish it can leave, the rake is used to remove this compound build up. If you notice a significant increase in the residual aluminum particle built up on the surface while buffing, rake the buff and re-apply a small amount of compound.

We recommend that you apply Rebel Forged Red to your surface with one of our Premium Microfiber Round Pads to help reduce product waste, as well as potentially taking away the chance of finger pressure marks. if you don’t have one of our round pads, then fold over a new good quality Microfibre cloth. Rub the surface with even pressure until you see the oxide haze starts to develop. once you’re happy with what you’ve done, let the product dry. Then take a new Microfibre cloth, and wipe the surface and remove the black residue, On a polish as fine as this product, we can’t stress enough how important it is to use a quality Microfibre product.

This is a brother product to Ultracut 5. In polishing there are many ways to get the job done, sometimes it comes down to personal preference, sometimes it’s about the tools you need to use and there are a huge amount of variables.
Some have asked why we have these tow compounds that are so similar, the answer is easy. Supercut has a very similar feel of cut to our Ultracut, but it has a slightly more greasy formulation, meaning it’ll cling to the mop and to the work-piece a little better, some people like this and some people like it a little drier, we like to make sure we’ve catered for both camps. -

This product is an intermediate cutter and finisher. For example, if you have say Aluminium, Brass or even Steel and Stainless, that has light marking or a scratch pattern from an abrasive belt or disc, T2 is used to remove the scratches and actually leaves quite a good finish on its own.
For the most part we’d see this type of product used to cut, then depending on the substrate, a secondary finisher like Infinity Green or 3 Series would be used, to bring up the final bright finish. A liquid version of this product is also available -LIQUID TRIPOLI M4 -

This compound is a workhorse, manufactured to cut. Ultracut has the ability to removes scratches and blemishes, sanding marks and tea staining with ease.
While it can be used on non-ferrous metals, we find that a majority of the product is used in the stainless fabrication areas, plating and metal component polishing sectors.
Ultracut has great adhesion on the mops and buffs, isn’t too greasy and is super easy to use. Most of our customers will use this product on our range of standard or treated sisal mops, having said that, we’ve also see Ultracut used on our orange or red treated Airway buffs, to cut and clean. -

SUPER G is a product very similar in many ways to our Infinity Green, but the feedback we’ve got so far is that Super G is a little drier in its formulation, a little less greasy.
Some polishers prefer this type of cut, and they get great results.
We’ve also seen Super G become very popular with the chrome platers, they like it because they get the shine and colour they’re looking for, yet clean up is easier when items go back through the plating tanks. -

White lightning is another fine finisher product. We bench marked this product in the area of surgical tool manufacture.
This industry required a dry, very fine cutting product that would leave a surface value that was second to none and could pass the most stringent visual inspections that are critical to this type of industry.
We also found for fine finishing of perspex.
White Lightning delivered again, not what it was designed for at all, yet it was magnificent.
